BHS Arena Scheduling, 9th Grade Job Interviews

Welcome back from Spring Break! We’re headed into the final month of school and we hope that our students are feeling well-positioned to finish strong. Please remember that students don’t have school this coming Friday, and that end-of-year testing is currently underway for 9th graders during 1st or 2nd period this week. 7th and 8th graders will begin testing soon, and it will all happen in the regular class time of the subject of test (language arts tests in language arts, math tests during math, and science during science).

We would also love to remind parents to please avoid calling or texting your child during class, and to please not have food delivered to the school using services like DoorDash. Both of these cause a substantial disruption for school staff, and take the focus of the students away from school. Thank you for your help and understanding.

9th Grade Job Interviews – Rescheduled to Thursday, May 26th

URGENT – This activity cannot take place without your help.

Adult volunteers are still needed to help with our 9th grade Job Interview experience. We need morning volunteers from 7:50am -11:15am, and afternoon volunteers from 11:00am-3:00pm. The PTSA will provide food for both sessions. Volunteers will be doing short mock job interviews for our 9th grade students. The interview questions will be emailed to volunteers and you do not need to have hiring experience to help out. For more information, please contact the counseling center. If you can help with this fun activity, please fill out this form.

2022-2023 Student Schedules

Student schedules for next year will be available to view on Skyward on Wednesday, April 27th at 3:00 pm and a copy of the master schedule will be posted on our school website.  Please check your schedule to make sure you have all of the classes you need for graduation.  Some scheduling conflicts came up when audition and JATC courses were added.  This may require you to make some decisions regarding your elective courses and your schedule.  You can adjust your own schedule through the Arena Scheduling process.

Arena Scheduling:

Schedules were created based on the course requests submitted in February.  Arena scheduling gives students the opportunity to adjust their schedules.  All classes will be open to arena scheduling even if they were not on the student course request list (with the exception of JATC/audition/tryout classes).  As adjustments to schedules are made, remember it is as space is available.

Arena scheduling will  be open as follows:

  • Current Juniors:   April 27th at 3:00 pm –  April 28th at 11:59 pm.
  • Current Sophomores:  May 2nd at 3:00 pm – May 3rd at 11:59 pm.
  • Current 9th graders:  May 5th at 4:00 pm – May 6th at 11:59pm.

Arena Scheduling will open for all students May 9th at 3:00 pm and will remain open until June 1st at 11:59 pm.
