9th Grade PCCR and High School Course Selection Information
Thursday, February 15th, 2024 – 9th graders receive Bingham Course Selection card in Science class. (This date is tentative depending on when we get the cards from Bingham.)
February 20, 21, 22 – Counselors meet with 9th graders in Language Arts classes. During the group presentation, each student will be meeting individually with their counselor for a 5-minute meeting. Students will go over their 10th-grade course card and credit tracker with their counselor. Parents are invited to attend, but it’s not mandatory. (This same information will be presented in the evening with a Zoom presentation. You don’t need to come to both.) Please talk with your student about which Language Arts teacher and period they have. Information is listed below:

Tuesday, February 20th and Monday, February 26th – Parent/Student Zoom PCCR meeting at 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. (The same information will be presented at all four Zoom meetings and during the Language Arts classes – please attend the day/time that works best with your schedule.) The link for the Zoom meeting will be on the main page of the school website by 3:00 pm the day of the meeting.
Tuesday, February 27th – Sophomore Expo at 6:00 at Bingham High School Auditorium. This is an exciting event that all current 9th graders should attend.
Monday, February 26 – Friday, March 1: counselors are available to meet with students and parents individually if you still have additional questions. There will be links on the school website to make appointments. This can be an in-person meeting or a phone meeting.
Monday, March 4th – Bingham counselors will be at Elk Ridge to help 9th graders input their 10th-grade course selections into Skyward. Make sure your student brings their course selection card this day and has planned out their 10th-grade classes.
What if my student is going to a different high school besides Bingham?
Please reach out to the high school you plan to attend to find out when their course selection window is.
West Jordan High School counselors will come to Elk Ridge to help students register on Monday, March 4th.
