Movement of Meeting
Because of COVID restrictions, the meeting originally scheduled for March 25th was delayed to April 6, 2020, via Zoom.
Land Trust Plan 2020-21
Goal is to focus on improving Tier 1 Instruction, which is every day teaching for most students, in academic areas. Current measurement used by the state were discussed and how they relate to action plan steps. Focus will continue to be on instructional coaches and aides, and leadership, climate & culture committees. Approval will require everyone going online.
Principal Update
Online learning was the topic of an email that went out to parents with a survey regarding the work their kids are doing. Responses showing students spending 3-6 hours on average per day doing schoolwork. Teachers are putting information on Google classroom or Canvas and are reaching out personally to students who haven’t turned in anything. So far 300 Chromebooks have been checked out by students. Office is open 8 am to 1 pm for pickup of items from classes in the front foyer.
Counseling Center
Arena scheduling tutorial for 9th graders coming and hope to have Arena Scheduling open April 28, but it may change. Emails from counselors should be going out to those that had PCCR meetings scheduled. Mental health is especially important and students should be encouraged to reach out. Focus on physical distance, not social distance. Trying to figure out how to still do Student of the Month.
